New Addition, Not the Band

I've decided for some reason that I need to expand our family of six to seven. Our youngest is now six, in first grade, and I'm home alone pretty much all day. I've had a baby itch for almost a year now, but since my husband looks at me like I suddenly sprouted hideous antennae and my skin has turned green, I'm absolutely positive that a baby is out of the question. Plus, he reminds me that he's "out of the gene pool". It's a losing battle, especially since he also reminded me that diapers were not all that fun. SOOOO.... I've decided on a fur baby instead. Roxy, will be coming home with us somewhere in the middle of March. Granted there's potty training and waking in the middle of the night but there's no talking back and temper tantrums either. And how can you resist this face?

Kicking Myself

Sometimes, I could kick myself. I am and always have been a serious procrastinator. My mom says that I thrive on the pressure and that I perform better that way. Along with being a serious procrastinator, I'm a serious scrapaholic. I've been follow these contests and challenges over at Pub Calls and low and behold I found one that seemed do-able. Granted that they post the challenges in the morning and usually need to be done by midnight. After reading their post at about noon, I figured I had some time; midnight was 12 hours away. I went and picked out some paper, since you got more points for using 3 Bugs in a Rug paper. Got some seriously cute paper and other goodies. Came back home and got to work. Finished layout, in ever {voice thick with sarcasm} so speedy time, of about 9 hours..... did I mention I have 4 kiddos..... and went to post in the gallery. Gallery closed!!!! Well in all my excitement, I developed failure-to-read-everything syndrome. EST deadline left me hangin'. No big prize for me. So, here in all its glory, is my complete layout.

Don't Hold Your Breath

Well, I have finally decided to jump on the bandwagon and start my own blog. I've never been one to keep a journal or diary, but I've come to the conclusion that after thirty you start to lose some of the little things. One of them being memories and funny anecdotes, along with my car keys and my mind, once in a while. So hence, the blog. I figure that if maybe I get in the habit of doing this it may be a little fun and I might amuse a person or two. So here it goes, wish me luck!
